watching racing on the whole vaal track brought back great memories of past meetings at the vaal where 20 horse fields were the order of the day and owners horses got runs and weren't reserve runners or eliminated...is this going to become permanent or were they just caught with their pants down cos the sand track was unavailable today?

when they race on the inside grass track the best going is perceived to be on the inside

Read on stipes report that they where not supposed to go to the far side, but there was no way in stopping them

There will be a moveable rail used in future, so no going back to the olden days
