R3 Fakenham Apterix. Has easily the best form in this weakish maiden hurdle, including a good run over course and distance. Today's good ground will be ideal and he should be very hard to beat. 7/4 a fair enough price.

R4 Fakenham Triple Chief E/W. Has run three very good races over hurdles, especially on his handicap debut in a stronger race at Ludlow last time when he did particularly well to finish third after being quite badly hampered at halfway. Can make the first three here at around 9/2 and it would be no surprise if he were to win. Trip and ground should be ideal.

R5 Wolverhampton Starlight Genie. Sets the form standard here after two good seconds in similar races behind a couple of impressive winners. There are some lightly raced fillies from leading stables in opposition, but they have plenty to find on the selection based on what they have achieved so far and Starlight Genie is still capable of further improvement herself. 9/4 or bigger a fair price.
