"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening' Saturday 26th April Workings...
17 years 1 month ago
Evening.
This evening completed then, and went as follows.......
The 1st runner we wanted 2.9, and with being around 3.25 on arrival and just getting bigger and bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, despite a late withdrawal and 7.7% reduction (bad accident as the horse ploughed into a spectator, so hope he's ok), so all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'...........
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.0, and with drifting to around 3.25 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 3.0 max. The lay won well and made layers look idiots, so fair play and the way it goes........
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.93 on arrival and only getting slightly bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won an eventful race, so a nice priced winner (returned 11/10) but more importantly a good leave........
The 4th runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 2.5 on arrival and just getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a 3-way battle, and close finish, so a nice priced winner (returned 6/4), but more importantly a good leave.......
The 5th runner we wanted 2.6, and with being that, and getting shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.6 max. The 2nd fav came out the stalls without the jockey, so that didn't help! but the lay still finished a well beaten 2nd, so a good result.....
The 6th runner we wanted 1.4, and with being around 1.54 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid another race this evening. The runner went and won, and so it was another good leave.......
The 7th and final runner we wanted 1.06, and with being around 1.13 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave.........
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.......................(3 from the first 4 (75%) went and won - and 5 from the 7 (71.5%) in total - and so we did well after all said and done, so well played guys)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Had to concede 0.3 of a target...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and then with a bad result, then clawing back a chunk on their 2nd and final lay of the evening (the 5th runner), they end the evening conceding 0.3 of a target, and they'll settle for that with all those winners....
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 3.0 max, but a poor result see them go behind early........They then had their 2nd lay (the 5th runner) at 2.6 max, and a good result see them win a chunk back..........That's where they ended it, and so builders concede between 0.3, and 0.4 of a target, and that's fair enough with all those winners...
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 3.0 max. Result negative. Lose £100

Traders had to concede a little on the 2nd runner at 3.0 max, but all other see them win a bit, or break level, so in the end they conceded a little bit, but so tough today and they did well over the day as a whole, so well played guys...
So yet another tough session for us, as expected, and again we bobbed and weaved the best we could and avoided what could've been a nightmare! so a tiny loss for all this evening, but we'll accept that with all those winners, and return in the morning. Speak then...
Marc.

Afternoon.
The races, runners, and prices, to work around for this evening then, as follows.......
6.50 Haydock. MAJOR MAGPIE (3.05)
Our price 11/5 (3.2) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.9 or under, we'll go in for a lay.
7.20 Haydock. FIRST BUDDY (3.1)
Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. We'd lay if seeing 3.0 or under.
7.35 Wolverhampton. ONE NIGHT IN PARIS (2.02)
Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that, although she can race a few ways, it wouldn't be any surprise to see a very prominent display this evening*
7.50 Haydock. CONQUISTO (2.26)
Our price 11/10 (2.1) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.8 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has shown a tendency to race prominently in his races*
8.05 Wolverhampton. BOOKIEBASHER BABE (3.0)
Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.6 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he likes to lead, or race very prominent in his races*
8.20 Haydock. MESHTRI (1.51)
Our price 3/5 (1.6) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.4 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early market for clues, concerning this race*
8.35 Wolverhampton. QUEEN OF NAPLES (1.12)
Our price 1/10 (1.1), so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.06 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that with her distinct class edge, it wouldn't be any surprise to see a very prominent display this evening - Also that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early market for clues, concerning this race*
All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 15:04pm.
That's what we have to work around for this evening then. Enough for all to be getting involved, and although it looks a tricky session in store, we still have enough ammunition to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon....
