R7 Drive On E/W. Has won over course and distance under this apprentice. Was a shade disappointing at Lingfield last time, but that was over a mile and may have been a shade too far (was also ridden closer to the pace than usual and that might not have suited either). A strongly run race over today's seven furlongs should be ideal, although he will need to be delivered late and get the breaks when he needs them. Can make the first three at around 8/1 in a race which probably won't take too much winning.

Might explain why Drive On has been drifting - 13/1 on the exchanges now. Think that's far too big myself, but...

He was exactly where I wanted him to be for the first half of the race, but once he broke cover and swung to the wide outside turning for home, then it was game over. Oh well, tomorrow's another day :)
