"Group" RESULTS - 'Sunday' 27th April Workings...
17 years 1 month ago
Afternoon.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows.....
The 1st runner we wanted 1.6, and with being around 1.76 on arrival and only getting bigger and bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner looked the sure winner, but was beaten after a very close finish, so heart attack saved, the drift justified...just...but 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.8, but an important non runner and 14.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.54. The price was a well supported 2.24 on arrival and getting shorter, so we had a lay at 2.24 max. The lay went and won a battling finish, so frustrating, but the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.5, and with drifting to slightly higher and 3.65 on arrival, and then dropping down to us and very slightly beyond, we had a lay at 3.5 max. The lay was beaten, so a good result......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.38 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.32 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.625 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won, so the way it goes, but glad of the free bet now!!..........
The 5th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.38 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, despite holding every chance, so 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 6th runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 2.34 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.2 max. The lay went and won, despite making hard work of it, so frustrating and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......
The 7th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.87 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the late drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'..........
The 8th and final runner we wanted 2.2, and with getting around 2.18 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.18. The lay was beaten after a battle, so a good result.........
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED...............(1 from the first 2 (50%) went and won - 2 from the first 4 (50%) went and won - 3 from the first 6 (50%) went and won - So a very awkward day, where we were never allowed any breathing space with a couple of drifters thrown in, but no damage done and well battled)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) had to concede 1.1 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and after a poor start, they battled and battled, and ended up conceding 1.1 targets after their successful 4th and final lay (the 7th runner).........
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.24, but a poor result see them go behind early........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 3.5 max, and a good result see them win a chunk back.........They then had a 'free' lay (the 4th runner) that only bought relief............Then came their 3rd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.2 max, but a poor result see them go further behind......They then had their 4th and final lay (the 7th runner) at 2.2, and a good result see them walk away levels...

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they won a little bit, and well played guys...
So another tricky session this month, and although it was hard through the early and middle stages, we battled well and all came out either winning a little, level, or losing a little, so we'll accept that and look ahead to the up and coming week. Have a good evening and speak in the morning...
Marc.
