Dean, now they are talking about boycotting GC racing (Sporting Post). Owners, trainers and punters are all waking up to the fact that GC is being run into the ground by need I say it incompetent........! Why now ? A few of us have been vocal about this for years now (maybe a few with balls enough to ask these questions) and yet nothing.
The poly has been accepted by all ( I dont like it but..) , the grass tracks are still not acceptable, but the program has not been amended ( dealing with this unique situation), no grass gallops available on tracks. Meetings being abandoned.
How do you prep your horse for the season if your horse is from Natal ? ( out of town trainers are prepared and ready for the season)
They are creating mediocrity ! A huge exodus of owners ? Closing of smaller trainers ? etc etc.. These are just a few gripes, the list however is endless....
Wake up, nobody wants this to happen, but aren't we being forced to make serious decisions ?
