re Marcus. He should not have had to work so hard in getting that horse up to win. He should have cruised home by 5 lengths instead he chose to make me panic. :) No only joking. That was a flipping good ride. He was strong and kept the horse going, so a huge well done to Marcus.

ps Still think that I am unlucky Bob?

Don't be fooled CnC,i actually think he can't wait for your selections

Would have Simla in the next but race might come too soon, will be staying out of the minefield for this one.

Fiery Goddess later will put respect at Bay to the sword later on, 6's available a bit earlier, 5's nice e/w value.

Some of the people that you probably regard as useless just don't have the horses at the moment and if they could have the owners to spend 1/20 of what the big trainers spend I think you would have a different picture. Some of these so called people that you so wrongly consider useless have given there lives to Natal racing and Gold Circle. TT, Dean is just doing what raiding trainers like Dennis Drier do when he takes his best horses to Cape Town.

The best example of what can be done is Duncan Howells ............he started where everybody else did in Natal and due to his results earned better and better horses and keeps producing results..............very few walks of life give rewards and then let them be earned..........it always works the other way round.....success breeds success,so they say.
Gold Circle is clearly stuffed unless they let market conditions prevail and leave it to survival of the fittest.

Conversely... a lot of "out of town" owners are seeing the benefits racing in KZN.
