Meeting added KZN

Following the abandonment of today’s racemeeting at Scottsville, Gold Circle wishes to advise all racing’s stakeholders that an additional racemeeting will be scheduled for Friday (night) 8 May 2015 at Greyville. The programme for this added meeting will be published in due course. This follows the announcement that the Easter Handicap, which was scheduled to be run on Sunday 5 April, will now go off as Race 10 on the turf at Greyville this coming Friday 10 April at 17:30, prior to the start of Race 1 at 18:05.

“Gold Circle regrets the inconvenience caused by the rain-affected schedule but we wish to assure all owners, trainers, jockeys, grooms and racing fans of our commitment to stage lost races and race meetings whenever possible, while paying attention at all times to minimising the negative financial impact caused by postponements,” said Racing and Marketing Executive Graeme Hawkins.

at the most you will have half the races on grass and half on poly that's the current policy ..I feel for you bud as you have stated you wait weeks for a race and a draw and then you get stuffed and its back to the drawing boards for all those who had runners today for pmb....bottom line the grass tracks in natal are fcuked therefore the wise decision to cover for this disgrace by announcing we will have 50 percent of all races on the polytrack and take it or leave it...

For interest sake I asked and listened to 3 big stables in Natal in Drier, Laird and Kannemeyer and they were all very happy with the poly and like me will race anything on it with no reservations whatever

For interest sake I asked 300 punters if they prefer turf racing to poly racing. 286 said turf. 211 of the 286 said they no longer bet on poly racing. The 14 poly voters were picked up earlier and did not pass "go" etc on their way to the mental institution ;)

Craig, just jesting above bud (not a word of "known" truth in it!) but, out of interest and not trying to provoke in any way... is it so financially "impossible" to have the replacement meeting at Scottsville, why does it have to moved as such to Greyville? Tis "depressing" for the likes of me.
