Distell secure triple crown pouring rights

Distell, a multi-national brewing and beverage company rooted in South Africa, secured pouring rights for the SA Triple Crown and will have a huge presence on Champions Day at Turffontein Racecourse on Saturday April 25.

Distell is Africa’s leading producer and marketer of spirits, fine wines, ciders and ready-to-drinks (RTDs).

Champions Day is one of the top race meetings on the South African calendar and also one of Johannesburg’s most festive social occasions. The meeting features five Gr 1 events, including the R2 million SA Derby and the R1 million Wilgerbosdrift SA Oaks, which respectively form the last legs of the SA Triple Crown and the Wilgerbosdrift Triple Tiara.

Clyde Basel, Phumelela’s Marketing and Sales Executive, said, “It's exciting to announce that Gordon's Gin will have naming rights to one of the many exciting races on the day and exclusivity on certain Distell product sold on the day.
