Semra was the 400th winner for the season for MDK(136) Snaith(135)Tarry(129)
2014 they went 477 for the entire season
2013 484 winners
2012 456 winners
2011 368 winners
2010 423 winners
this season quite easy 500 +

I wonder if anyone has ever done the following statistic for trainers:
Number of horses / purchase cost = Average cost
No. of horses / number of runs = Average runs
Total earnings / number of horses = Average earnings per horse
Total earnings / number of runners = Average earnings per runner
Average earnings per horse / average cost per horse = Return/Cost per rand spent
Av. cost per horse + 12 months keep = In training average cost
In training average cost / Average earnings per horse = Value per horse purchased & raced
Number of horses / purchase cost = Average cost
No. of horses / number of runs = Average runs
Total earnings / number of horses = Average earnings per horse
Total earnings / number of runners = Average earnings per runner
Average earnings per horse / average cost per horse = Return/Cost per rand spent

I am no IT guru but it would be interesting to see which trainers return the biggest bang for buck spent..........
Alternatively it would also show how much some trainers horses cost & the number of horses necessary in the big yards to deliver the results.......

After today the top 3 have now trained 485 Winners season to date.
500 wins close
MDK Yard off form. but the thee yards will still get 500 wins for the season.
