R2 King of Strings. A terrible seller where Bobowen is likely to go off favourite. He has been hopelessly out of form recently, however, and normally races over further these days. The selection is a consistent handicap hurdler who should run his race and will win this if, as I think, Bobowen disappoints again. 5/2 is an excellent price (and won't last).

R4 Towerburn E/W. Venue will be a very short-priced favourite and is the most likely winner, but he pulls like a train and this very stiff track and softening ground are not in his favour. The selection showed promise in bumpers and again over course and distance on his hurdling debut. Should improve on that and will be very hard to keep out of the first three in a very weak eight-runner novice hurdle. 9/1 with BetBright is miles too big (will go off much shorter).
