On-line Computaform

I know that people involved with Computaform visit so please could somebody explain why ,if you download Tuesdays Vaal you get Mondays Flamingo Park downloaded too, whether you want it or not????
So if you are away Monday or choose not to play Flamingo ,but Tuesday morning download Vaal ,you get "yesterdays" Computaform as well...........................can there be anything more useless than " a yesterday's" Computaform for a centre you don't punt at????.............wasting paper, ink and time.
What is the thinking !!!!!!

No !!!!!!!...............online you pay for a period ,not per download ...............that's exactly the point!
(it happened to me last week too - was away and came back Monday night ...and got an extra computaform for a meeting, already past )
I can't wait to hear the logic but I bet I don't get an answer

Rob the PTB are sniggering that there is no way pleasing the likes of you nor me....they are giving the hard copy buyer one for free but did not bother to seperate these issues online.....
I believe that simply because not many are as interested in groot gat or flamingo bingo.....so not many buy it....so they recon if they merge the 2 early weeks hard copy they may enthuse a few to fall in at the gat and at the same time limit the publication of 2 hard copies by saving a few pages like the cover and inside cover....that is the only logic I can think of.....yet when I visit the local 7/11 all I see is many unsold Computaforms.....they totally screwed the pootch by making unsolicited changes and this B O G O F is the start of a cost cutting drive that may see further changes......I still maintain that the glossy magazine like cover was the best thing about this hard copy publication and that was the 1st thing to go....now this.....next.... merging Wed/Thurs then the 2 Fridays meetings and a bumper week end edition.....panic is setting in because hard copy sales are dying....

Not sure why they suddenly reversed a strategy mid-stream ...............some time ago they contained the cost of Computaform by providing the "full" version online and changed the paper to newsprint in the published version ...............that made a lot of sense because its value is only the info and very short term!!!!
So why suddenly a fancy cover and high quality paper at an additional R5 ........it only has to last a couple of days for goodness sake.
.................and if you going to do a "buy one get one free" you include Tuesday's meeting in Mondays copy (as noted on the front cover) ,not Monday in Tuesday's  ...........nothing more useless than yesterdays copy
Would also like them to reconsider another change.............-the publishing of racetimes has become pointless since removing the variance factor - there has to be a relativity for times to have any relevance at all, so you need both or neither!

Or keep the fancy-print computaform only for on-course and on big sponsored race days to appease the sponsors.

I think the printed version is an excellent move - I paid R30 for a Flamingo/Vaal book so R15 an issue. Makes sense as a marketing tool also as the punter is informed as to another upcoming meeting. The superior quality paper gives the book longevity - The Computaform Express is fine for people that don't want the extra info but want a book for 4 meetings - I take Rob's point that the Flamingo meeting should be the headline or maybe Flamingo AND VAAL should be the heading and page order(I'm reading from the back today as Flamingo is the second half of the book)

Agreed ..............anything which brings the cost to R15 a meeting (as opposed to R30) is fantastic ......................the idea is great .............the execution is normal!
