The local racing industry has been similar to a journey on a ship ................there have been small cracks appearing in the hull for years but only a few "moaners" noticed and were concerned that it was a sign of things to come.
The cracks have continued to grow and when the ship eventually ran aground last Thursday, a whole lot more people have become concerned.
Lets hope that pressure is now kept on the operators to prevent the ship finally sinking, but regrettably ,a few incident free weeks racing and most will quickly lose sight of where we are headed.
Local racing can still flourish thankfully..................just not the way it is presently managed!

Louis says it's not perfect today , but if they keep up this level of effort the track will be amazing soon

The only sand track we have here in Ireland is Laytown and is the only track in the world that gets watered twice a day, 365 days a year.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy !!!!!!!

Some "risky" racing today imo and I would personally be avoiding the shorties, though they could easily all win. For me, it is a day with a million questions and I found it hard to be confident about anything, therefore decided primarily to play some idiots and hope. Have no big like and some of them are risky, particularly as a number are not drawn well. Anyway, nibbling or whatever...
R1 Miss Lecture e/w (Motherless R1 e/w)
R2 Twilight Saga e/w (Tomorrowland R1 e/w)
R3 If I had to play... Tiger Sight, possibly Battle of Arcole e/w (Fort Bay R1 e/w)
R4 ? Form Up x Guy From Dubai x The Royal Rumba
R5 Shakaland e/w and smaller on the something of an unknown, He Is Magic
R6 Wilhelmina (Shamal R2 e/w and a small interest in Bahama Mama)
R7 Glasswing tentatively (One Cool Cat R2 e/w and a small interest in Pinot Noir)
R8 Moi Power e/w (I think Toro Rosso will probably take to the surface and win comfortably but I am not entirely convinced, if not then Shepherd's Song could be the right one. MP has a tough draw to overcome).
Any returns a bonus
Be(s)t of luck to all
