Let me make the case for JEDAK(I did not play anything today but had him as a likely winner on form so I can't claim any glory or even a cash reward).
The horse showed pace and consistent placed form on poly - was rated a 75 seven months ago - Is by Ashawees who gets winners on sand. He has been tried over 1400-1600m but is always up in the firing line at the 400m which would make him suited to the 1200m. The pointer was his last placed run -In that race he suffered a severe cut and suddenly from never finishing further than 6 lengths behind in 7 starts he runs 20, 14 and then 30 lengths behind wearing steels. His last start he is only 3.5 lengths behind at the 400m but then compounds or takes no interest and ends up 30 lengths behind. That run was over 1600m - Today he is drawn in a very good gate(11% win rate) and wears Alumites. It was there in the form but could so easily have gone wrong if he did not take to Kimberley sand.
