JAP, played the same double last night and was suppose to post it today, however I was busy, not that it matters so long as it arrives :-
08/06/2015 20:14:25 141495 HORSE RACING SCOTTSVILLE INNER Race 2 GAIN GROUND Fixed Win 0.91 - Active
08/06/2015 20:14:25 141495 HORSE RACING SCOTTSVILLE INNER Race 7 DYNASTIC Fixed Win 1.43 - Pending
Welcome as well.
Looks like the same double doing its rounds.
RS gave me the same with the possibility of Greys A rocking making it a treble.

Beezo, if the favourite, Gain Ground, jumps on terms, think she'll be very hard to beat. As ColinP pointed out, Miracle Rising finished 6.0 lengths ahead of Melliflora (24/01), and Melliflora beat Gain Ground on 30/05, a few things to bear in mind, it was Gain Ground's debut run, she wasn't well away and very important, she was outrun very late in the race which was 200m further. Beaten fair and square it must be said, however she will have come on from that run whereas Miracle Rising is having her 7th attempt at breaking her maiden, first time the distance and round the turn. I have a fair idea which one of the two is going to need the miracle

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

i would say 9to10 gain ground isnt really a good price unless one really knew that this horse was speacial.I would think 12/10 swan dance a place is a safer option, beaten close home over course and distance by a top sort.

Hey bayern. I'm very new to this. But the reason I joined was to get feedback just like you have given.
Please forgive my over confidence on miracle rising. HOWEVER... I would rather trust the strength of miracle, the fields on the last two runs can not be compared to what she faces tomo... also those runs were her 1st & 2nd runs in kzn ! So seeing a 3rd run against a danger such as Gain ground , who only has natural improvement to gain from her 1st run. I would rather look for value in 9/2 in miracle on her 7th run rather Den 9/10 on natural improvement...
but plz guys back gain ground harrrrrd so I can take a 2nd bet at a even better price.

While I do think Gain Ground will arrive the stable said last time he'll need the run, until confirmation that he won't need another I wouldn't be too sure, price not running away so will wait. I'm still waiting to put a double on tomorrow, don't kill the dynastic price please folks until around 12, then I don't care  Although did mention I took it straight a couple days ago, but too much hype causes horses to run in the bush as always

Gain Ground ran well on debut, but Swan Dance last run was way better than Gain Grounds run imo, i make Swan Dance close to favourite.Plus Gain Ground was never traveling over 1600m, and now drops to 1400m..

Draw not a concern Bob, guess not, otherwise you wouldn't fancy her chances. If Gain Ground breaks on terms ........
I'll leave it there.

Just to join the 2nd race debate.........short of common opponents the only reasonable comparison is to rate against older horses ,same course and distance!
Both Gain Ground and Swan Dance appear to have achieved gross ratings probably in the mid 70's and Miracle Rising as much as a 100+ ?????
2 yr old horses can improve dramatically of course(especially from the De Kock yard) but purely on EXPOSED form Miracle Rising should win by a street
(In her last 2 runs she had a total of 15 winners behind her)
What is a worry is whether Miracle Rising has been travelling to and from Natal, raiding ,or being stabled in Natal?

R2- What about the flying ice form....feature winner on saturday........killer woman to improve more on first run...... along with the favourite plus MR who ran in 2 features after rest & swan dance....good outsider is simla
