This Scottsville 1200 might catch out the speedsters. If Nephrites goes out and leads at a good clip then I am afraid that Greys A Rocking will win going away.

I tried the course managers phone but straight to voice mail. Probably busy. I think we saw last week that some horses won and ran well up the outside so if they good enough they will still win or run well.

One looney selection for today. In Race 5 the apprentice race there are often surprises. I like Mokai at 50/1 a win and 8/1 a place. If you remove her 5 Greyville runs her form wouldn't look that bad and wouldn't be at 50/1 IMO. She ran a good race last time out against the two favorites and could well be right there. It is a pity that the appy can't claim his full allowance as I would have made her an even bigger runner. One to include for places.
Tough card and for my 2 cents wouldn't back Gain Ground at 1/1 against a fair field.
