Urgent information needed.

Hi guys.

Sorry for random post just need some urgent info.
My mate depsited some cash into my fnb account today via the atm. It is quite a large sum.
But the machine swallowed the cash and gave him a slip saying 'transaction unsuccessful'. What happens in this case? Please assist as this money was urgently needed for myself and him to complete a task.

If you know which FNB atm (the location/area) phone in and tell FNB. When they doing their next reconciliation of that ATM and if there is any money extra they will refund you. Get the reference number of the call and go to the bank tomorrow morning with the slip.

I got my money back although it was a Standard bank voucher.

Thanks guys he is going in tomorrow. But its such an inconvenience and to wait 24 hours as well. Now we have to wait like 48 hours for it.

Went into the branch today. Filled in paperworks. Takes 72hours to reeturn funds. This is utter bullshit. Banks in sa are the biggest criminals in the world. The whole point an atm deposit was made was because those funds were needed instantaneous and i could not wait for it. If not a simple bank transfer wouldve been in order. Fnb says its got nothing to do with us its the atm security companies fault thry service the machine. Well sorry to sat fnb its ur farking name on the atms with ir farking services and advertising not farking adt...i am pissed of. Most ppl in my situation will blame the country some how and i service. I blame the people directly involved. Fnb pathetic

They need the time to validate your claim against the book and also other deposits need clearing.If they have no claim to the excess then they will credit you.

Lol colin im clever enough to understand what needs to be done by the company. But maybe stupid enough to understand why it has to take soo long? Given the fact that it is somewhat and instantaneous surfice hence any issues should not take infinity to sort out. 2ndly it has all to do with when i need the money thats the whole damn reason people choose their banks efficiency...its funny. Let a tote machine malfunction or Even a bookies systems crash and u hve a bet or deposit outstanding. Lets see ur diplomacy then. Like wise maybe i dont have money lying around like you do
