Please be advised that the following horse has been scratched from this year’s Vodacom Durban July by trainer, Mike de Kock:

ERTIJAAL (Reason: No reason given Time: 09:13 Date: 12 June 2015)

I normally go for a three-year-old in the July - After the Classic that was French Navy but this year I'm covering with the older low weights who may have dropped in the MR and who have track form Heavy Metal Tellina etc.

Mr H, you have said all along that the 3 year olds this year are not that strong. I am tending to agree with you. I believe an older horse will win the race this year as I can't see Majmu carry 55kgs to victory. Recon Snaith racing will follow up this year with Futura.

good horse, not special. I don't rate these 3 yr olds..... {shrug}

Hard Spun was a great dirt horse though, a grade 1 win, few grade 2s and a place in the kentucky derby if not mistaken.. So maybe he'll go well there if that's the plan..
