That one Mickey and the Vasquez v Marquez fights,Ward v Gatti fights and Barrera v Morales are classics.Put those ahead of Hearns/Hagler and Sugar Ray fights that were memorable.

Hagler/Hearns were two great fighters at their peaks.Im being a bit controversial here,but i thought that round was overrated because of who they were and the importance of the fight.
There was so many missed shots and wild punches compared to other in my opinion better fights.

Imo the round demonstrated the incredible hand speed of Hearns at its brilliant best and not many other fighters would have survived the onslaught.

I think the beauty of it was the expectation of a great fight was suddenly backed up by the ferocity of it all. I remember my old man trying to get us moving to Catch the bus to school, but after the first round , well that wasn't going to happen..

Remember that it was shown around 5 / 6 in the morning SA time and my Dad's transport was waiting for him...didn't have to wait long as Hearns staggered around...
