R5 Worcester Black Jack Rover. This looks a match between the selection and the likely odds-on favourite, Towering. There is very little to choose between them on bare form, but Black Jack Rover is improving and ran very well when just beaten by a useful sort over an extended three miles at Wetherby last time (first two were miles clear). I'm not convinced Towering improved on his hurdling debut when beaten at odds-on last time nor does he look to be crying out for a step up in distance. Black Jack Rover loves quick ground and will have no problems with today's trip. 9/4 is an excellent price to upset the favourite (will probably go off a fair bit shorter).

Pity the 2nd one couldn't get up, very close.

Allowed the favourite an easy lead - needed to make it more of a test of stamina in my view.

R3 Bath Russian Reward. Brings easily the best form into this and should be able to get off the mark here. Sets a good standard and the Godolphin newcomer will need to be very useful to beat him on debut. Evens or better a good price.
