Englander, you will be back. See You soon bud.

A quote by William Ernest Henley. Echoes, iv. Invictus. In Mem. R.T.H.B.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance,
I have not winced nor cried aloud:
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody,but unbowed.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

And I thought many didn't like my waffle!!!? ;)

Although DTF and Pirates are correct in that I have generally been losing over recent months and have said so, in the last week I won about 10% of it back. As a consequence another two bookies restricted me, without any reasonable reason, simply because I won I think, they were certainly not ones I backed due to market support and most of them were under 5/1 if I remember rightly. It leaves me very few options and I am fed up with it. And what is the point if, when I do win, I am restricted, I am not here for a one-sided game nor do I have the variety of options you have Dave to find other people willing to "help" with accounts. And you are also correct to an extent in that the SA issues have always been there but... with the loss of Clairwood and the unexpected rare use of the turf at Greyville and the loss of Arlington and the 50/50 share between poly and turf at Fairview, the number of races lost from turf to poly has been quite significant and I just don't really enjoy poly racing. The sand track at the Vaal has been dreadful the last 6 months and the usual shifting of blame has happened yet again. The continuous "graft" in PE has only so publicly surfaced in the last couple of months and, sorry, but it bugs me big time. Bingo has returned to a place where honesty, apart from with one or two, seems to be very secondary to... and that is more than enough lol

It must also be remembered I am not a horse person nor a good studier of form. What may now be easier for those competent studiers, such as Pirates and DTF, is not necessarily the case for the likes of me. I have always said I am a time and draw man and know little about horses and form etc. I used Winning Form adjusted times a lot and since they (idiotically) changed the method these were done about 2-3 years ago, it has rendered them, imho, a useless rather than very effective tool. I struggled to adjust.

Racing is not in my blood as it is with so many of you. And when I no longer get the buzz or the fun, then it is time to take a walk, it has been coming for some time now as I think has been pretty evident from a number of my posts. Nor am I an addicted gambler, I love it but I also know when to walk away. Now seems to me the right time.

Anyway, I have said these are not final proceedings and I shall still read and throw in the occasional comment or shout etc, but it will be very different to what it has been. Anyway, get off this thread, you have winners to find... :)

Why don't you have an Interbet account?

You are in England, the liquidity on BFX on SA racing isn't bad these days.
