Problems with Vodacom Signial at Greyville VDJ

Has anyone experienced the same on July Day, The past 2 years I have experienced problems with the Vodacom signal, unable to connect to the internet or make calls. Other people at my site with Vodacom had the same problem but the other Network providers were all fine. Going to take my online bets early this year.

Not just a Vodacom issue. I had the same problem last year, trying to get stories & tweets out was only mildly stressful.

Pretty ironic that an event sponsored by a cellular network has signal issues. :lol: :whistle:

Like you said Prish, get your bets on early, enjoy the day and hopefully shout home a couple of winners.

They have used signal blocking in the past to ensure tote support on course.

Could be in effect again this year.

Get your bets on early, don't rely on placing a bet telephonically.

Experience this problem with Vodacom all the time in certain locations.
That's why I think with the current ad with the fat lady sleeping and mocking other providers all I can say is they really should be laughing at themselves .

Very sad if they are using signal blocking especially of the only signal being blocked is the chief sponsor

Its always nice to see the difference on price between bookies and tote as some times the tote fav is 4th or 5th on the bookies betting and vice versa

My understanding and from what I have experienced is that only selected numbers are blocked, not general calls.

My Exp much different not out going or incoming call not internet what so ever after 12

It's not a Vodacom issue. It's across the networks.

Amazingly the only time I actually had proper signal (I'm on Cell C) last year was from when the field in the big one jumped until the enquiry had finished.

Before that it was very minimal and after even worse.
