Alistair Cohen provides a 'mock' commentary for the 2015 Vodacom Durban July at the Hollywoodbets Pre-July Party at Hollywood Springfield Park in Durban - Thursday 2nd July, 2015. Incredible talent, and leaves you hanging on right down to the wire!

I wonder if he will ever in his lifetime be allowed to call one race in his place of birth even if it is a maiden plate midweek

They weren't kidding when they said there would be no pace! Running time in this commentary was approximately 2:18 from start to finish; making it the very slowest July ever. Small wonder Wyllie Hall won it! Lol.

Sorry that Ice Machine never got a mention as I love hearing him pronouncing it as "Arse Machine".

What was fascinating for me was how excited the crowd got - and that was a mock commentary, good stuff.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Cohen is a long odds on shot to finish up in a foreign racing jurisdiction. He is leagues better than the other local muppets. He needs to work amongst other proper professionals, and then you'll really see just how good he is.
