Strangest reasons for a horse being scratched

Here is one below
AUSTRALIAN trainer Bryce Stanaway put a craving for food before his hunger for winners when scratching three runners at Sunday's meeting at Racing.com Park in Victoria after a dispute over sandwiches.
The bizarre row, which looks set to earn Stanaway a place in racing folklore for the most unusual excuse for withdrawals in the sport's history, came after he had saddled two unplaced runners at the fixture.
Trinidadian and Entirely Perfect were taken out of the penultimate event on the nine-race card, whilst Traveling Wilbury was removed from the finale.
It is believed that Stanaway had an argument with a Pakenham Racing Club official over a sandwich and when his request to get one was denied, he demanded that his remaining three runners be scratched.
Steward Taylor Wilson told Racing.com: "Bryce requested that his last three horses for the day be scratched.
"There was an issue with the club, we're led to believe, he's put forward his side of what's occurred - he was a bit disappointed with the way the club handled an issue that he had.
"We've yet to talk to the club in regards to that, but we will be doing that before the end of the day.
"At the end of the day, we acceded to his request and authorised the scratching of three horses.
"As far as we're concerned, he wasn't prepared to run his horses today and what the argument about is neither here nor there, we're dealing with the racing of horses and not any catering issues that may or may not have occurred."
