Two I fancy tomorrow, in order of preference, R6, Mr Mulliner, and R4, Lion's Emblem, both Strydom rides both.

Mr Mulliner has been running above his rating and against stronger in his last four starts. Tomorrow I feel he bumps the right kind of field and should be good enough to win it. Almost certain he will start at shorter odds come race time - my punt for the day.

Lion's Emblem on exposed form does have S'Il Vous Plait well held, and Sky Rise, if finding best form could be a danger. Very difficult seeing the winner coming from the balance of the field

Good punting..

I'm not convinced Meissa is not the correct one in that race even with the big weight......

Just a feeling I have is all.

Chris you may be right, however a few things to take into consideration. Whilst Fortune is the stable jockey, not so sure he would have made the 55.5kgs to ride Mr Mulliner. When Mr Mulliner has run against horses rated 90, he has never received more than 5.5kgs and never been beaten more than 4.0 lengths. Tomorrow Mr Mulliner receives 9.0kgs from Meissa, that is mucho pudding to concede. Was beaten 6.5 lengths by a MR 95 (Anjaal) but was conceding 3.0kgs to the winner. If Mr Mulliner runs anywhere close to one of he's last four runs, he won't be beaten. Hopefully one of us is on the right one.

if mr mulliner ran above his rating last time why did the handicapper drop him by one pound? also you need to take anjaals net rating into account not his gross rating for your other comment below

Maybe Mr Mulliner wasn't expected to beat those rated higher than him anyway, I haven't a clue how the merit rating are adjusted, but in my view, he has been consistent. For me Pirates, he has never received this sort of pull at the weights against MR 90 horses but has managed to run "close enough" against that sort of company, guess I'll know my fate shortly after 15.45.
