NAP A DAY COMPETITION AUGUST

Will be restarting a daily comp for one month only from August, if it`s successful i`ll maybe keep it going.. WORLD SPORTS BETTING have kindly gave me some vouchers for the 1st month

NAPS AND NEXT BESTS

2 selections a day one nap and one next best , running totals over the month the highest totals win

RULES ( still to be confirmed ) if you can think of any ammendments pleae post before AUGUST 1ST

all selections will carry a 1 unit value

if you don`t make a selection selection your total will be deducted 1 unit

if you make a winning selection the 1 unit is added along with the profit

NAPS once a month can carry a JOKER (meaning if this selection wins your tally for that day doubles, so use it wisely )

one entry per member

editing allowed up until race1 on that day

totals will be done when i can get them done, and odds will be taken from FORMGRIDS SP

It`s fun so no hissy fits

so only using your joker gets your nap earning more then your bb?

Once a month you can use a joker

So if you really fancy a horse , you play your joker card

If it wins it doubles the return including the stake

I'm unclear on the scoring

If you don't make a selection on a day, you lose 1 point / unit - but what happens if your selection(s) lose (i.e. does not win) - do you keep the 'stake' of 1 point / unit ?

Also, if either your 'best bet' or your 'next best' wins, will you 'profit' in the same way - e.g. if your BB is wins at 5/1, you would get 5 + 1 = 6 points, or if your 'next best' wins at 10/1, you would get 10+1 = 11 points. And if both win you would get 17 (6 +11) points ?

Yes Frodo

If your selection loses you lose a unit , every day your total will be deducted 2 units but these will be added back with and daily winnings ( see below )

If your best bet wins at 5/10
1.5 units will be added

If your next best wins at 15/10 2.5 units will be added

If both win 4 units added back to your starting total

If both your selections lose you lose two units

If only the 15/10 chance wins your daily tally will increase by 0.5 unit
If only the 5/10 chance won you would be in a negative for the day - 0.5 unit

Just like if you had a bet at bookies odds ( with no tax deduction )

hibs why not make it easier

if running the comp for the August month (31 days )

best solution will be to start everyone with minus 62 points ( 31 days x 2 points every day)

everyone works towards getting the minus into a positive
