Would like to hear from the computaform studiers, the people more on the doing this for income than doing this for fun (me mostly).

Do you do most of your betting online or at a bookie/betting shop ? If so why.

As I can see no obvious drawbacks here only saved petrol and effort I'm gonna go online almost entirely now. A lot of the online bookmakers now offer tote betting too, which is relatively new AFAIk, with bettingworld anyway.

I've got my bettingworld account fica'd and am gonna load up a bank roll soon. I'm a recreational punter (atm anyway), but I think online is the most expedient and cost efficient way of punting frequently even professionally, unless I've overlooked something of course.

Would like to hear from you guys. I guess you're under the radar if you punt with cash only tho.

Open as many accounts as possible

There is always value to be found in an account you don't have Grrr

For Example Interbet laid 3/1 to about R600 a horse that ended 7/10( got beat but that could have been your 600 )

If your recreational you probably won't run into account restrictions , most serious punters do at some point ( sign of the times and a thing we must get around )

Betting cash usually means that you punt under the radar

I see what you mean. Also I reckon I will be able to place more bets without havin to recite them to a teller one by one and hopefully have better results from that. Up till now I'd usually visit the bookie once place 1 or 2 or 3 bets watch em at home , cash in tickets the next day with new bets, this might give me an advantage in that respect (or aid in me doing my balls! but hopefully not).

I see, hopefully I will run into those restrictions with you guys help :). Are they usually in the small print and T's and C's ?

Bob is correct if u take SB as an example I find the quarter odds fix place price great however the only negative is that u have to take the ew and can't have a stand alone place

Good punting

ColinP you've hit the nail on the head.

There are certain meetings that I enjoy studying for and others that I'll skim through and just keep an eye on the day's action - like today with the Vaal Sand. I don't enjoy it.

I think if one is punting professionally there is already an immense amount of pressure and you might be tempted into chasing the game. Patience is key imo

Confidence in your selection is probably another big thing. If you can't be 110% confident in your choice then you can't have a go.

Formgrids is the way. We all know this.

I'm the furtherest thing from a pro punter. I enjoy racing, I do not rely on it to make a living so my accounts are purely for recreational use but these are just my observations.

As many accounts as possible as odds seam to differ quite a bit these days. You have to have control when you have money in online accounts. What i dont like is that staff often go into accounts of certain people and pass on to others on what bets they have taken. Its happend to me a few times when somebody i know phones me to tell me that my bet details has be given out to certain people who pay for information. Its not a nice fealing when you back a horse and only you know what bet you took and the exact bet and figures get told to by another punter.

That's technically theft of intellectual property man. Not cool.

Thanks for the advice guys. Yeah I'm working on passin on certain meetings. trying to build a nice bankroll and that means doing all of what you guys mentioned.
