Pity about all the rain at ASCOT, going was being described as heavy by the end of the day, if they thought GOLDEN HORN was a doubtful stayer before his derby run then the 1.5 miles on bottomless ground might catch him out( drifted from 5/10 - 1/1 )
Clever Cookie should get naewhere near GH but stays very well and will love the conditions

If Clever Cookie wins a King George then life is just unfair. Nowhere near the quality of the rest of the field in my opinion. Soft ground doesn't mean the rest of the field forget how to run!

Graham Lee, rider of Clever Cookie, knows how to ride in the heavy as he was a jumps jockey and these guys love it in the mud. That inside rail is going to help today

Brazos 3-15ascot
Sired by Clodovil,so should like it soft and drawn high may help.
Bit of a cavalry charge, but 25/1 is worth ew punt

Golden Horn on a massive draft. Doubt it if he will run

Ballylar 5-30 Lingfield
Ran a cracker on debut, should like the conditions.would have liked a higher stall number but you can't have everything.3/1 won't last.Stable flying, unlucky with a plodder yesterday that was trapped on the rail, then when it got out was hit twice by jockeys whip on the nose, finished 2nd.
Fearless Lad 8-30 Lingfield
Dropping down in class, good draw and CD winner.ew at 8/1

but this is the UK where the people who are employed to look after the running tracks actually do the job that they are paid to do that's why you will only get meetings called off when the track is frost hard or flooded. As you have seen they race in the rain, wind and snow.
