Re my mention on the Elan Gold cup about the way we were hit with outsiders ,and the weather was mentioned as a factor. The funny thing is that cropped up it was a massive Favorite arriving day just wondering?

Class horse with the staying form in the book

We have had some surprise winners of the Cup in recent years but mostly because of the lack of top staying races

Wonderful day racing with the course "behaving" bar the shadows!!! The Future and Ice Machine duel was a thrilling finish. What an effort from the Machine, would have been so good for Mrs.Meaker to lead in the winner.Long time loyal Kzn patrons the Meakers have had major success with Gigantic and Bahadur and Secret Rites in the past.
