"Group" RESULTS - 'Evening' Thursday 8th May Workings...
17 years 4 weeks ago
Evening.
This evening completed, and went as follows going by mails recieved etc.......
The 1st runner we wanted 2.7, and we never see our lay price, so a race to avoid. The runner was beaten, so 'one that got away in hindsight'........
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.5, and we got lower than that, so we had a lay at no more than 2.4 max. The lay won, so the way it goes....
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.64, and we got lower than that, so we had a lay at around 1.5 max. The lay won, so the way it goes.......
The 4th runner we wanted 2.5, but we never see our lay price, so a race to avoid. The runner came in 2nd, so 'one that got away in hindsight'.......
The 5th runner we wanted 1.8, and we got that price, so we had a lay at 1.8. The lay came in 2nd, so a good result..........
The 6th runner we wanted 1.46, and we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave.....
The 7th runner we wanted 3.3, and we got that and slightly shorter, and with the lay beaten it was a good result........
The 8th runner we wanted 1.6, and with never seeing our lay price at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a good leave.......
The 9th and final runner we wanted 2.44, and with getting that and shorter, we had a lay at 2.44 max. The lay came in 2nd, so a good result......
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED.........(2 from the first 3 (66.66%) went and won - 3 from the first 6 (50%) went and won - and 4 from the 9 (44.44%) - So far from easy, but we dealt with it well enough, so well played guys)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target.........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and after a couple of poor results early, they then bounced back with a few good results to hit their targets on their 5th lay (the 9th and final runner)..............
'Bank builders' strategy/target players
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target players. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.4 max. Result negative. Lose £100
Total bank now £300
2nd lay £100 to recoup the £100 @ 1.5 max. Result negative. Lose £50
Total bank now £250
3rd lay £125 to recoup the £150 @ 1.8. Result positive. Win £150
Total bank now £400
So with being level and just one potential lay left, it's always advised to take the levels and run with now no room at all for error.
Overall result. Level.

Traders I'm led to believe had a decent enough night, so well played guys...
So a tough start to the evening by the sounds of it, but we came through it well enough to get the wages, or break level at worst. So well played guys and speak in the morning...
Marc.

All races priced up with non runner taken into account, up until 15:31pm.
That's what we have to work on for this evening then. Not easy by any means, but again we have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum as always, and take advantage of any prices that come our way.
I myself am going out at around 6.30, so I doubt I'll get to play this evening, so if I don't then there will not be any results mail. Obviously if I do, then I will do one guys, (or if any of you are kind enough to let me know!!). Anyhow, Good luck and speak soon....
