Two I fancy tomorrow are R4 - Beach In A Bottle and R6 - Marmalady.

Beach In A Bottle has run against stronger in his last two runs and was far from disgraced. C&D, he has had 3 runs for a first and two seconds and is yet to be unplaced over the distance, inner or outer track. Should go very, very close.

Marmalady, despite the weight, she has many under sufferance here. Whilst she hasn't been the distance, she should carry too many guns for this lot.

Profitable punting.

I have a table booked tomorrow at the charity race day in the Aquanaught room. Would appreciate any winners / places / swingers I can pass onto my staff. It would be great if all my staff can go away with tons of cash in their James bond pockets ( theme CASINO ROYALE )

Any other clanners going to be on course on Saturday ?

An each way/roughie for the day, R7 - Mai Thaiga (16/1), not only has this horse's merit rating dropped in about 2 months, also run against stronger company. The exposed form may not look flash but against this sort of company could pop up at decent odds.

Get them off to a good start with Samarra/ Scillachi in the first and Nespresso/ Work Ethic in the third- swingers/ exactas and pick 3 with field in 2nd.

Well you sure picked a tough day - P6 consisting of 6 handicaps (4 of which for fillies and mares) - also as can be seen from my dismal performance this week and in the tippling competition I am really having a bad trot; on the bright side, the dividends today are bound to be good, so for the desperate, here goes .....

R1: Schillaci the best horse in the field imo; question is how ready is he after the break (pity that the van Zyl yard was not featured on USO this morning) - did he have his AHS vac's, etc. Betting suggests that he is not 100%, so either of the supported first timers, Baylisiana and Coral Fever, can take advantage here; I'm not really convinced about the formline of Samarra, so not impossible that we could be in for a rough start

R2: Nice competitive handicap; Pivotal Pursuit most people's favorite, but I think his stable companion is overdue to win again and for me better value; Fah Fee imo ran below his best last time and is also not without the chance - boxed trifecta looks straight-forward?

R3: Another van Zyl runner comes back after a rest - so the same question as with Schilacci - how ready is she? The betting in this case seems to suggest that she is ready to fire, so I think she can give Nespresso lots to think about; 3rd favorite Bajan Fantasy finished behind the 20/1 shot Truly Evelyn last time, so I think this lies between Work Ethic and Nespresso - trifecta again looks easy: 1,8 x 1,8 x 2,3,4,6,7 (and maybe 9)

R4: Beach in a Bottle the obvious one, but not much between him and stable companion Pyramus on form; Tora Tora's last run has produced 4 runners since out of which only one (Front Rank) could find the first 4 in their next efforts; so does not look that great; on the other hand; Amber Sail came from 7 lengths behind Boy Boy to finish just behind Counterstroke (fancied today); also very little between Boy Boy and BiaB / P on their runs behind Woza Madoda; so both Boy Boy and Brass Verdict look the bigger dangers imo

R5: Weak fillies and mares handicap; Prescient looks to have a lot going for her and is my first choice; danger I think is Paree, who actually is weighted to finish in front of Prescient on the run behind Cataluga; if these to fail, any of the others can pop up

R6: In a race where all but 3 runners come in under sufferance, lots of folks will be banking on Marmalady, and she does look the most likely winner here; still it is a handicap (well for 3 of them anyway), so both Lucky Gambler (2 2nds this trip) and especially Final Score look tempting at the odds - FS won over this trip off a 59 and today comes in at 57 (taking the allowance into calculation) - only other one that could prove a danger is Chalcedony - only 0.5 kg's out, but imo could struggle to get up at this inside course

R7: Real tough handicap, where many have chances imo - if I had to make a tentative selection I'd go for the lightly raced recent maiden winner Royal Master, he could be on the up and not bad value imo at 6's; 2nd choice would be Petricor - does not look badly in here and overdue to win - at 12's surely must be the value in the race

R8: Looks only slightly easier; Gallilee as per Adam Azzie has had her AHS injections; this does not mean that she can't win, but she just may not 100%; quite a few wating to pick up the pieces - for me I think She's a Looker is well in and looking at the re-run of her penultimate run behind Dream Galaxy, she was impeded in the last 200, but for which I think she would have finished a lot closer; both SaL and Cape Marigold are very attractively priced imo at 12's

R9: I think Matsuri has the best form in the race, the problem is that she is probably better over 1800 and further - still at 8's I think she is value; not a lot between Main Sunday and the favorite Party Magic, so MS clearly the value between those 2; I'm not sure about the form of Mirror the Moon, both Gypsey Myth and Bright Bronte weighted to finish right next to her, so if you include MtM, GM and BB must also be considered - those 6 should suffice for the last leg of the P6 - the problem comes how to get to the last leg

Enjoy B)
