Strange observation................7th race won by 3rd best handicapped runner and 8th race ,the 2nd best handicapped runner (and the best handicapped being totally unsuited to the distance) !!!

I was referring to the 5th, 6th and 7th (should have been more specific, but I posted before the 8th). What I was trying to point out, is that imo, 'less obvious' results are criticized regularly if they happen on the Vaal sand, but when these 'less obvious' results occur elsewhere I get the impression that they are more or less accepted with a 'that's racing' attitude.

But in hindsight I admit that my comment may have been a little harsh and posted in the heat of the moment (closest that I'm prepared to come to saying 'I was wrong' ); Belcourt Castle won a race that really seemed quite open, so not that big an upset, Olympian also won a handicap (although the way he won - not ridden by the stable jock - was surely not expected?); and I suppose if one looked past Varumba, most of the others looked to have some sort of chance in the 7th.

LOL Frodo................don't worry I understand ....................I have probably being more critical of Cape racing, for different reasons ,than I was of sand(I disliked sand racing from it's very first meeting and I can't help it ,I am delighted its over!)but on Sat I happened to go wide on the right races at Ken and so for once ,got it right there (scared to be called an ARM)

Not only do I suspect that Rob single handedly brought about the closure of what was many clanners fav course (before "they" completely farking ruined it to give themselves the excuse to close it), he is now turning into a complete arm. Rapidly becoming my least favourite clanner lol ;)
