Race 7: Night In Tahiti trainer says horse is a freak good enough for me 4/1 worth a bet
Race 8: River God very strongly fancied by stable, worth a bet 7/2
Race 3: Black Arthur,Faydherbe rode the favourite Jiggery Pokery first time so would assume he was offered the ride again and having chosen Black Arthur 3/1

Race1. Tricky start workriders. Dixie Express has the most scope for improvement; Princess Jane has good form. Theses two should fight it out. Any of Flair Factor, Gin for Genius and Molly's Chambers could surprise.
Race 2. There are some beautifully bred first timers and this looks a very strong maiden. Of those which have raced, Persian Silk looks the best, although she seems to find this stiff 1200m a touch too far with free running tactics. Tafferty Tart and Sails Set should be thereabouts. Cautiontothewind and Garden Tea Party fair debuts and should improve.
Race 3. League of Legends has good form and a 4 kg claim, and would be a confident selection but for her wide draw. Jiggery Pokery and Nabisco the main dangers. Include Orange Tractor- fair debut behind March On and that formline is strong.

Yet again Cape Town saves the day. Without Cape Town there would be virtually no tourism industry, without Cape Town there would be no fantastic beaches and mountains (well if you like mine dumps in then I suppose you can relate) there would be no WP to win the Currie Cup, no Stormers to show the rest of the country how to play running rugby, no great looking birds for you Vaalies to gawk at when you make your annual visit and chicken n chips would not have been born to annoy the readers of ABC.

Race4: We have Deep Secret running. She is a big filly and still strengthening up, but will enjoy the step up in trip. Wide draw is a concern, but she should be running on strongly and finish in the money. The scratching of Adorada has thrown this open, all of Arabian Winter, Meritocracy and Elusive Thought have winning chances.
Race 5. Tricky handicap. Cape Rebel is on the upgrade, and could be the right one.
Race 6. Muscatt ran well last time and will go close if repeating. Captain Bagg appears to have his problems, but is talented, and weighted to win here at best.
Race7. Varumba should win this if fit. Night in Tahiti very harshly treated by the handicapper for a maiden win, but beat a good sort. Could improve to challenge.
Race8. Hard race to end the day. River God is down in the ratings and ran a fair race last time, but looks skinny value. Sheer Trouble is well in at the weights, but may need this run. Door of Deception looks a big runner from a good draw, and is my pick. Line Break and Waiting for Rain have good form but wide draws to overcome.

Bernard is contracted to ride (a) for Ridgemont and (b) for Snaith stable, so I wouldn't read anything into him being on the Snaith runner rather than Jiggery Pokery.
