Jim Byrne messaged me lastnight with a horse for the big sprint at haydock

Gordon Lord Byron has finished 2nd twice and was the winner in 2013 ( 3:45 )

The head lad looks about 80 ( interview now ) looked after the legend Sir Ivor 50 years ago

surely he messaged you for your eyes only. Now I have gone and backed it and the price will come done as I stuck a massive £5 each way on it.

Don't discount Sole Power in this race. You can never put an old dog down and his experience could show and Hughes is not on to showboat. So I expect him to be mid pack coming into the last furlong then to give it a full go.

Those sprints in the uk can be a nightmare but what about the O Brein horse, last 2 starts the horse has been ridden from off the pace, wrong tackticks imo, go back to his wins in Ireland he won comfortably from the front and with softer going forecasted i make him the dark horse.
