: Supreme Prawn Festival Coming To The Vaal Triangle
One of South African racing’s famous Prawn Festivals will be coming to the
Vaal racecourse on September 26 and will add flavour to the Supreme Cup
racemeeting sponsored by SAP.
There will also be plenty of on course entertainment for both adults and
kids.
The Supreme Cup racemeeting, formerly known as the Emerald Cup, is one of
the Highveld’s best family days out and the Prawn Festival will be a
wow-factor added attraction.
A supply of tons of succulent prawns will be on sale at the jaw dropping
price of R70 per 1/2kg and will be accompanied by chips or rice and a
flavour choice of peri-peri, lemon butter or garlic butter.
The Kids always get lost in the myriad of on course entertainment provided
for them and those who attended in previous years are sure to be reminding
their parents of this must-go-to annual outing.
Family Picnic Sites will be available and are an ideal site from which to
soak up the fun and atmosphere of the day.
Patrons can also make a weekend of it, because there is a curtain raiser
turf meeting to be held at the same venue on Thursday September 24.
Entry to the Supreme Cup/Prawn Festival meeting on September 26 is free and
gates will open at 11:00 a.m.
The unveiling of the field will be announced on Wednesday 16 September on
the Liquid Lounge cruiser, invited guests are sure to experience a unique
outing. The information from the cruiser will be sent to Tellytrack the
moment the field is announced, at approximately 13h00.
