R1 Gowran Park Pashtunwali. Bumper winner who ran well on second start over hurdles last time. Today's trip and ground should be ideal and he can see off the better fancied pair of Holy Water and Prince Kup. 7/2 a fair price.

R4 Fontwell Noble Friend E/W. Comes here on the back of a couple of decent efforts over hurdles, but has some good chase form from last season and today's track, trip and ground all look ideal. Will be suited by the likely strong pace set by Australia Day and should go very well at an attractive 7/1.
