He will be riding at the Breeders Cup on the weekend in the US then board a plane to race on another continent in the Melbourne Cup a couple of days later then fly back to the UK for Zthe Thursday meeting on the all weather. That's why he is the best.

The "Eclipse" at Sandown is run on the same day has the July. Ryan Moore won this race in 2007 on Notnowcato, who beat then Derby winner Authorized and George Washington. In a tactical move, Moore moved Notnowcato sharply to the left to race on the stands side, completely isolated from the other seven runners to win the race. Thats why he is the "World Greatest"

Lets be serious Ryan Moore is definitely the best in the....rest of the world
Over here he still has to overcome Marcus to get to Striker... Lol
Just kidding he is definitely in his own league. Riding group race after group in different countries of the world riding those countries best jocks to sleep on home turf. I remember his win in last years melbourne cup. He is the best judge of pace in the world by a country mile.

The question regarding those stats, is how many listed/maidens/features etc add up to those figures. Without seeing the details, I would put my cock on the block Moore is ahead, both in 2015, and in all years past, when it comes to the big ones.

Surely, consistently winning on maidens and handicappers must show as a better quality jockey than winning on Gr1 horses who can be ridden and won with by almost anyone.

Any idea if he is riding today and where? Made some Tom on him and the Marcus hotties.
Another jock that I rate almost up there is Gavin Lerana.

I look at it the other way. In maidens you constantly have 2 or 3 that are above the rest of the average field (either on pure ability or not being wound up), and I would say AM 90% of the time rides the ones that fall into the 2-3 catagory. Features, all the horses have had to qualify, all the horses have ability and all the horses are wound up, so the better jockey will prevail on the day. That's just the way I look at it.
