R3 Kempton City Of Night E/W. Not convinced about the value of Karmadal's (likely short-priced favourite) debut run and the selection may represent the value bet of the race. Has been well backed on both starts and ran on strongly here last time after blowing the start (was favourite). Today's extra furlong will suit and, if breaking on terms, looks sure to run well in a weak race. 6/1 is a very good E/W price.

R4 Dundalk Sufoof. Has been showing plenty of speed, but not getting home over longer trips on turf. The drop back to six furlongs on polytrack looks a smart move and she could take some catching from stall 1. Only has the likely favourite Indrahar to beat. 2/1 is a fair price.

R1 Stratford Faustina Pius E/W. Has been in good form lately, likes this track and trip and won't be troubled by the softening ground (one or two of her rivals just might be). 8/1 is decent E/W value in a weak race.

R2 Stratford Tijori E/W. Has been running creditably in slightly stronger races lately, will handle the ground and should be suited by the slight drop in trip. There are question marks over some of his main rivals and he can make the frame at least. Sportingbet's 9/1 is too big (will go off shorter).

R3 Stratford It's A Sting. Making his chase debut, but is very well handicapped here on the best of last season's hurdling form. Jumped hurdles well (was often a front runner) and has always looked as if he would make a better chaser. This is a weak handicap and he will be very hard to beat if jumping proficiently. 3/1 is an excellent price.
