FROM BOXING HERO TO MODELS TO RADIO PRESENTERS TO MRS SA!

Famous faces to be paired with world-class racehorses, all in the name of
charity

The 2015 Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile takes place this Saturday 31
October at Turffontein Racecourse. Here are the last seven celebrities
which add to the star studded line up of 16 celebrities being matched with
16 racehorses, 16 media partners and most importantly 16 charities who will
receive a share of the notable R 1 million donated by Peermont and Emperors
Palace.

Hekkie Budler means business! Known as “The Hexecutioner”, this 27 year old
professional Johannesburg based boxer fights under none other than boxing
promoter Rodney Berman of Golden Gloves Promotions. At the age of
seventeen, Budler won the SA Title as the youngest ever boxer to win a
senior title. Most recently he successfully defended his title at Emperors
Palace when he boxed against Simphiwe Khonco, a fight

which has been seen as one of the most memorable in recent years in South
Africa.

Jen Su is no stranger to the world of celebrities! TV and Radio Presenter
Jennifer Su is one of South Africa's

most unique TV and radio personalities. She is a news presenter on Business
Day TV and Sky News "The African Business Report", a radio presenter on
CliffCentral for the Gareth Cliff Morning Show and The Buzz, a contributor
to SABC3’s Expresso, and entertainment reporter for People Magazine's "Out
and About

with Jen Su". Su, who says her heart is and always will be South African,
has a home and family in China and travels there frequently.

The breath-taking model, presenter, brand ambassador and social influencer
K Naomi Noinyane is certain to add even more glitz and glamour to the races
on 31 October. This 23 year old was a presenter for Top TV’s Lifestyle and
Entertainment show, Top Entertainment before being afforded the opportunity
of a lifetime to reach millions of viewers with her big break on Channel
O’s I-Request entertainment show.

One of South Africa’s funniest men is most certainly SAFTA (South African
Film & Television Awards) nominated actor and Stand-up comedian, Trevor
Gumbi. Gumbi has hosted Mzansi Magic's magazine show ‘Headline’ and has
also acted on Mzansi Magic’s critically acclaimed drama series Rockville
and in SABC 1’s sitcom

Ses'top la which was a spinoff of the hugely successful City Ses'la. This
outspoken and sometimes controversial comedian is a favourite amongst
corporates and comedy fans alike.

Fun, quirky and professional are all words that have been used to describe
Alex Caige.

Caige has been in the media and entertainment industry for only a few years
and has already made a name for himself with his unique radio and DJing
style, both locally and abroad. Caige can currently be heard on 94.7
alongside Anele Mdoda on the afternoon drive.

“I am excited to be here for the third year in a row. The Charity Mile is a
great initiative put together by Peermont, Emperors Palace and Racing. It’s
a Rush and hopefully it will make a difference for the charities and those
they support,” says Caige.

Candice Abrahams was crowned as the 2016 Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South
Africa at a glittering grand finale at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg last
week. Abrahams describes herself as a mother of 2, wife, business woman,
model, entrepreneur and interior design enthusiast and will bring even more
beauty and glamour to an already extraordinary group of celebrities who
will be making a difference to the lives of many less fortunate within the
communities around us.

Carmel Fisher is the last, but by no means the least, of the 16
celebrities. Fisher is a South African actress, dancer, model and
television presenter well known for her roles in the e.tv soapie Backstage,
from 2005-2007, on Rhythm City in 2009 and for her role in the acclaimed
drama series Highrollers in 2013. She was also a celebrity contestant on
the M-Net reality competition Survivor South Africa: Maldives, in 2011.

With this calibre of local celebrities taking part, the 2015 Peermont
Emperors Palace Charity Mile is an event not to be missed!
