JAMES LIGHTHEART PASSES AWAY

Cape trainer James Lightheart passed away yesterday at his Milnerton stables, he was 66 years of age. This very shy and yet successful conditioner had a career that ran for close to 40 years. James Lightheart became a fixture of Western Cape racing and is best known for training top horses that include; Jungle Warrior, Western Rocket and Bushmanland. Rumour has it his son Paul will continue with the training operation. Our condolences go out to the Lightheart family and wish them all the best.
