"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Saturday 17th May Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed then, and went as follows,.......

The 1st runner we wanted 3.5, and with getting around 3.45/5 on arrival, we had a lay at 3.5 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.8, before coming back in again, so a fluctuating market and a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was nicely beaten and so a good result..............

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.32, and with being shorter on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at around 2.24 max. The lay was a well beaten 2nd, so a good result.....

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 3.15/2 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 3.2 max. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result..............

The 4th runner we wanted 3.5, and with being around 3.4 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 3.4 max. The lay was nicely beaten, so a good result............

The 5th runner we wanted 1.6, but a non runner and 4.2% meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.57. The price was around 1.73 on arrival and never came down to our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten, so a surprise result and 'one that got away in hindsight'......

The 6th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around 2.98 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.98. The lay went and won quite well, so the way it goes........

The 7th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 10.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.52. The price was around 2.84 on arrival, and although dropping down a bit, it still never reached our lay price, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won a battle, so a good leave.........

The 8th runner we wanted 3.5, but a non runner and 5.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.35. The price had drifted to around 3.4 on arrival and then dropped down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 3.35 max. The lay went and won and so the way it goes. Traders did get their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...............

The 9th runner we wanted 3.2, and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.2 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.5 and beyond, before dropping back down again, so a chance for traders to have a 'free' lay (builders hit and finished). The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result........

The 10th runner we wanted 3.2, and with drifting to around 3.4 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price again and so had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though.......

The 11th runner we wanted 1.8, and with drifting to around 1.89 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond under late support, we had a lay at 1.8 max. There was a very late withdrawal and no time to reform the market, so we had to suffer a reduction of 23.6%. The lay was beaten and so a good result........................

The 12th runner we wanted 2.6, and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.6 max. The lay went and won very easily, so the way it goes........

The 13th and final runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around 2.8 on arrival, we had a lay at that. There's aound 20 minutes before this race, so with only a tiny bit of trading left on offer I'm leaving it there and will return for this evening. Good luck if you proceed with that bit of trading....

WELL PLAYED.........................

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 2 targets..........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner)........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 3rd runner, and hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 4th runner)........They then started their 3rd strategy/target on the 6th runner, and after a poor start, they then went and broke nigh on level (little reduction) on their 4th lay (the 11th runner) and so end levels....................................So they end the session winning 2 targets...

'Bank building' Strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit.......They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.24 max, and a good result see them win a big chunk of their targets.............Then came their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 3.2 max, and a good result see them hit their targets....

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

Always advised to take that with being within 10% of the target - those that played on....

2nd lay £164 to win the remaining £8 at 3.2 max. Result positive. Win £8

Traders had to concede a little on the 6th runner at 2.98 max, and the 12th runner at 2.6 max, but all others see them win a bit or break level, so all in all they finish around levels or a tiny bit down! good luck with the remainder..........

So builders made little work of their session and hit their targets, so well played guys. Rollers hit a couple of targets, and so despite a late battle, they'll settle for that and well played. Speak soon..............

Morning.

Nice to be back in the action, and sorry for the delay guys. Goes without saying that the extra couple of days off will be added to all sub dates. Anyhow, let's get on with today....

The races, runners, and prices, to work around for this afternoon then, as follows......

2.00 Thirsk. DAANAAT (3.5)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early market for clues, concerning this race*

2.10 Newbury. REGAL FLUSH (2.22)

Our price 13/8 (2.625) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.32 or under.

2.15 Bangor. APOLLO CREED (3.15)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.2 or under.

2.25 Newmarket. VIVA VETTORI (3.3)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under. *Traders be aware that he likes to lead, or race very prominent in his races*

2.35 Thirsk. WARRINGAH (1.87)

Our price 4/5 (1.8) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.6 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

2.50 Bangor. OUZBECK (3.2)

Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.1 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he showed a tendency to race prominently over hurdles, so may well use the same tact on chase debut this afternoon*

3.00 Newmarket. ENROLLER (2.84)

Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

3.35 Newmarket. AJAAN (3.55)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.5 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

3.55 Newbury. ROYAL ROCK (3.05)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.2 or under.

4.00 Bangor. OPTION MONEY (2.92)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.2 or under.

4.45 Newmarket. MISSILE DODGER (1.97)

Our price 11/10 (2.1) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.8 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although he's only had the one run, he did show good speed and led that race all the way, so no surprise to see the same tact applied for this race - Also please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

5.10 Bangor. BORDER FUSION (2.46)

Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.6 or under.

5.35 Newbury. AQLAAM (2.86)

Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has had to go on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10:06am.

That's what we have to work on for this afternoon then. Never easy, especially with that unexposed nature leaving us vulnerable to drifters and gambles, but we have enough in our armoury overall to warrant going into battle, so with the discipline to the maximum and with taking advantage of any prices that come our way, we'll hope value wins the session as it certainly does over a period of time. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings......
