It's a trap, don't you think that the bookies also want money over the holiday period. Tread carefully as when you think you will make it they bite you big time

I thought Schillaci was given a poor ride last time, Jock went way too early, he will know better today.. pointer imo ( worried the horse has changed hands )

I don't see it as a trap at all - The bookies set prices not the card. If I try to find horses to beat strong favs in some of these races I'm really not using my racing brain. I'm happy to lose knowing I've bankered really good form horses than covering and paying in if the dividends are small. Tomorrow is another day with the potential for results - today I'll play small and hope the good ones get home and give me some return so that I can speculate tomorrow.

Taking on Schillaci with Gladiattore and Red Special could be profitable
Earl Of Derby at 6/10 a safer route

For me....the safest double is legal eagle onto Talbec. The more adventurous can add but that wont be me today

will probably end up with that yellow stuff on my face again, but I don't particularly fancy any of the hotties at the odds.....
Obviously Legal Eagle just need to run somewhere close to his rating to win, but will he? Especially at this track? I think the de Kock stable expects Flying the Flag to challenge LE - has made sure the race stands up by nominating 2 runners that now have been scratched - have left in the stayer who might go on to set the pace - peak run for FtF after being fancied by the stable in the Summer Cup - I think good value, especially at around 1/1 for the first 2
In the 4th, Masterofthestars looks to be on the drift, but the stable is hot, so not to be ignored together with Red Special and Gladiotore (ran against much stronger in his last 2 starts and now get the 4kh claim - will probably try and steal this; I backed Schillaci last time, for me had every chance in the race and did not see out the 1600 (not for the first time) - so I'm prepared to take him on
The 5th imo also more open than it looks on paper - nothing between Silver Scooter and Kingmambo's Legacy on their last runs - so neither can be ignored; Loco Por Ganar is a course and distance specialist, so would be foolish to ignore his chances; Gasoline is weighted to turn the tables on LPG - must be included; Bulleting Home great comeback run and ran against A Div horses before his gelding - could be anything; big value imo is Front Rank who ran less than 5 lengths to Mitraad and 3 lengths behind ML JET at level weights on this track
The 6th is a typical low level fillies and mares handicap - who knows
In the 7th I like another of the longer priced runners - Pyramus has also run just over 5 lengths behind Mitraad at level weights - has come down in MR and tries blinkers and a tongue tie - holds Dakiwe on a run behind Delamere in September - obvious lurker imo; I can't really separate the form runners Klondyke River, Dakiwe, Gaisce Gold and Post Grad and all must be considered
The 8th also does not look easy, Wisaam may have needed his last run, but maybe is not that good - only the race will show - others to consider imo are Dream Leader, Seven Stars, Clean Cut and perhaps Alaca is a sprinter and the 1450 last time may have been too far
Talbec will probably be many people's P6 banker - should hold many of his competitors on that last run - but I do think Gaggle is improving and should make him run if getting the trip; safer option as backup for the PA is Secunde's Victor who looks moderate, but at least is guaranteed of seeing out the 2600
Enjoy
