I bet the organizers did not think they would have to fork out 20 million when the rand was at 12.50 but the way things are going the rand may be at 20:1 come race day

I'm sure they wld have hedged for 2016, but for 2017 Eish?

They will certainly not cancel, but they do have the right to limit the stake in R. I would assume that they hedged. If not, I would not be surprised by a R15m cap.
