Big news tonight that AP McCoy has received a knighthood in the New Year's Honours list.

Sir Tony McCoy: "I was very humbled when I heard the news. I never thought it was something that would happen to me. I am very proud of it."

Well deserved. A legend of the jumps and so so happy that he won the Grand National amongst the numerous other big race victories. Could have been one or more Cheltenham Gold Cups there too.

Will be interesting to read of the conquests of Sir Anthony McCoy.
