This issue of 'prep runs' is very difficult to regulate ............

If a horse runs to the best of its ability over a trip short of its best - does that constitute a breech of the rules - or not?

I think that rule must be read with this rule:"62.3.1 The TRAINER of a HORSE shall ensure that such HORSE does not run in an
inconsistent manner (also referred to as "reversal of form" or "in and out running").
Where inconsistent running has or may have occurred, an investigation into such matter
may be held in terms of the RULES."

Running unfit horses over incorrect distances is creating an inconsistent animal. Now if tomorrow Negramorro runs within 2-4 lengths off the winner(she can win also I think) then I think that would not be inconsistent - If she runs 10 lengths behind blowing then that's something the stipes should attend to.

Would it be an issue to ask the stable their plans for the run? Let's see how transparent they really are.

Richie77 they tried it but even in kimberely a trainer openly refused to comment on his runners live on tellytrack, transparency is just a pipedream imo

This horse will win tomorrow, prep or not. I don't believe that they will want to give the horse too much to do over a distance a touch on the sharp side, if anything, she travels well handy and will gallop them into submission when asked for an effort.

Agree. Think she will win. Wait for her to drift, what with all the doubts over the recent shorties losing, and smash the bookies.

I think only the 4 year old fillies have the ability to running past The fav. Eloquence is very quick and even with the rest it might give the fav a bit of a run. Silver Class the same but will the fav get beaten by a horse from its own stable which might stir up shit, I don't think so :whistle: I'd feel safer with Eloquence places at evens than wins on the fav but I won't be taking any thanks :lol:

Think the money could be good on the first timer in the 3rd, owner likes to punt, hopefully doesn't get scratched like one of his juveniles last week.
