KENILWORTH Saturday 9/1/16

Race 1- Can't go against Lady Astor, but skinny price.
Race 2.- no form. Elevated was very green on debut, should improve a lot.
Race 3. Trip Tease and Brutal Force to fight out. Guiness and Capt Alfredo minor money.
Race 4. Field for pick 6. Goldandsilver rank outsider, but has an ew chance here. Working well, top jock. Best over 1400, but pace should be on, and a strong headwind.
Race 5. Deep Secret will enjoy the trip and has a decent chance from a good draw. Very competitive handicap, upset quite possible. Nightingale, Francia and Chisanyama main dangers.
Race 6. My value bet is French Revolution. Ran a cracker at the weights last time and if repeating can win this. Helderberg Blue and Masters Eye the main dangers, but an open race and a lot depends on tactics and luck in running.
Race 7. Pity Baritone scratched- on his Guineas run was the one to beat. Eastern Charm is value- on the turnaround in the weights has Mooghamir and Nebula held. I have gone for Mooghamir as he seems to have more scope for improvement. Marinesco must be respected. Black Arthur is highly regarded by the stable, but he and Cape Speed have to give weight to the 3 mentioned. Rabada huge task at the weights, so not for me.
Race 8. Marginal preference for Smart Call from nice draw. Same Jurisdiction, Inara and Pine Princess must be included in exotics.
Race 9. If Legislate 100% fit should win. Futura next choice. Act Of War ran on well from hopeless position last time and will be right there. Capt America is top class but front running tactics a problem this course and headwind. Legal Eagle won't be far off.
Race 10. Value bet is Arabian Winter. Impala Lily and Qing next best. Open race.
Race 11. Fifty Cents is stable elect but I prefer Speed Limit at the weights. If Vilikazi stays then could win. (Orfer can't ride 52.5kg, so Crawford jockey arrangements irrelevant)- Silver Snaffles well in.
Race 12. Snaith has a strong hand. Overshadow well exposed, may be their best, but any of theirs could win. Bezamod has good form.

Really, really like him today. Was 15/10 for this race last year. Overdue a win now.

Never back an odds on fav in a workriders unless there's a workrider head and shoulders above the rest.

Think the race showed the inside will be the place to go all day, Ichkeria didn't come in enough and I think that cost her.

Can't imagine anyone taking those prices on the first two Snaith runners, Stebbins was the 2nd best bet Snaith runner on the day, Bezanod the other. I fancy Talktothestars in the 3rd eachway.
