meydan jackpot

Hi .
is there one able to explain or knows how the meydan jackpot showed a dividend of 4420 with 28,76 tickets with pool was R127125 .In the end the dividend paid R3976 with a horse winning paying over R30 a win ..sometimes we aware the win place dividend changes after the race but surely not the jackpot ..its like 13000 odd jus disappeared .
The difference was almost R500.
will appreciate any input ..

Thought I might try help out a bit (althought I haven't followed for about 2 or so weeks)...

I am asuming you got the figures off the tab gold website (regarding ticket and payout figures)...

Basically as I understand it, the difference comes in that there was 8plus tickets placed on reserved runners (they were scratched before opening leg as they were reserves and were never carded runners), hence the dividend was 8 plus tickets less.

Might be a bit of a vauge explanation, but hope that helps...

Surely these tickets go through as scratched.......onto the fav?.....If they were added to the winner the dividend would be R3427.40..............!Strange on the payout on tab gold it doesn't show number of winning tickets, which it does for local meetings.!!!!!!

Obviously you are still learning the game............so your lack of understanding and knowledge is forgiven...suggest you go and read the tote rules pertaining to jackpots (that's if you are able). :whistle:

The net pool was 114k and not 127k, therefore the discrepancy. Saftote has the correct pool and payouts. I think it was a take out error.

Tbh, I have been in for a good 15 or so years (but in saying that I realise I am still I minor compared to a lot of people on the forum), but I'm not an exotics player... Just thought I would try offer some sort of explination (right or wrong)... Like I said I am not an exotics player (now and again I used to play a P6, but not often), but its good to learn.... After all, that's why we are here to learn from each other....
