Scottsville moved to Greyville poly Sunday
9 years 5 months ago
With the going at Scottsville Racecourse already soft, and with the forecast of further rain over the weekend, Gold Circle did a survey amongst trainers with carded runners for Sunday and an overwhelming 75% voted in favour of Gold Circle making an early and decisive call to move the racemeeting to the Polytrack at Greyville.
Given the outcome of the survey, Gold Circle has agreed to move Sunday’s racemeeting to the Polytrack at Greyville with no change to the advertised starting times. In terms of the NHA rules, trainers have 24 hours to scratch as a result of change of venue/surface, after which time eliminations where necessary will be made public.

From my point of view an absolute disgrace. I have my 4 best horses carded. Have put in months of planning, and this meeting is moved on the PREMICE that there will be too much rain for the meeting to go ahead.
The forecast shows max 10ml on accuweather which is a very reliable site

Interested to hear Sheldon say ................."with the switch ,look out for the horses drawn wide" ..........................over the last few weeks high draws have been a much better bet on the Poly than down the straight at Pmb!

I am delighted an early call has been made, now I can study and get my selections in without having to revisit because of a late change. Lets make this the norm and make the call early and that will be the end of the bitching.

Another poly meeting..looks like the grass at greyville should be dug up and placed in a museum..its there only to be looked at and never raced on.

I was going to compliment COMPUTAFORM for re-running the online version ..........................but they changed the COVER ONLY ........all the data remains for PMB ....................that is worse than just leaving it ........................it is DECEPTIVE.......................once a clown ,always a clown!!!!!
