Next Champ is here.
9 years 4 months ago
Without a doubt i have spotted our next champ racing in SA.It has got to be Mikes, Noah From Goa,this three year old ran an absolute cracker against our so called ''cream of the crop'' eg Legislate,Futura etc and finished a gutsy third, and is a three year old running against older horses.I'm positive the Slack colors will be seen in the no 1 box on numerous occasions, wish i owned 1 of its legs, anyhow watch this new champs progress, nice horse Mike De Kock.

From mikedekockracing.com
NOAH From Goa ran another game race on Saturday, taking third place in the Gr1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate over 1600m at Kenilworth against some of the best older milers in the land.

Noah From Goa (yellow cap), another run from the top drawer.
The three-year-old by Tiger Ridge will be given a well-deserved rest now and Mike de Kock commented: “Noah From Goa gave a great account in what was considered to be one of the strongest renewals of the Queen’s Plate in recent years.
“Noah From Goa has had a long and successful season so far, he’s given his best and he will enjoy a nice few weeks off now. We have the autumn feature season coming up in Gauteng so we’ll probably point him at the Horse Chestnut 1600 or the Classic early in April.”
The Queen’s Plate was won by Sean Tarry-trained Legal Eagle (Avontuur Stud), the highest-rated horse in the country. He is a son of Mike’s erstwhile star Grey’s Inn, who stands for R30,000 a pop at Graeme Koster’s Rosedene Stud and has sired three individual Gr1 winners from limited opportunities. Mike said: “He’s one of the best value stallions around, if not the best.”
Greys Inn is a half brother to Good Judgement (Horse Chestnut), the dam of Smart Call, who won the Gr1 Paddock Stakes for Jessica Slack and Mauritzfontein Stud half hour before the Queen’s Plate.

Full brother was very slow but won over 2400m
Usually the 1st week in July Frodo if going overseas this season, but don`t they need a stallion at home if he ends up a Star..
PS would be very hard to split Noa and New Predator, hope they meet in Joburg again

The Cape Guineas was also the first leg of the Triple Crown. If he runs in the Classic, it will make things interesting if he wins. His Dam, Limerick, ran third in the SA Oaks. Limerick has produced, Guy From Dubai, Man From Japan and Dunraven. Will Noah From Goa, go for the Derby then.

Nice problem to have- I think if he wins the Classic, he will go for the Derby - and then should he stay and potentially make millions over a few seasons as a stallion, or should he go and potentially make millions racing overseas - even if he stays in the country, I don't see him going for the July, being a handicap

I was being misled  so then I have little doubt that he will leave our shores after the Gauteng Autumn Season.....
