I could not believe what I saw !!! I am going to the Met next week but I think - sorry - I know that I will just about see zilch. Not only me but only people standing at the rail and possibly the top floor will be able to watch the entire race. 95% of the spectators will lose sight of the field at the crossover and will only be able to watch the last 100 metres. Believe it or not - a huge marquee has been built 100 metres before the finish line obscuring the most exciting part of the race. I might as well stay home.

I'm hoping its just for the race day tomorrow, half the space compared to last year with the extra tents being erected

Which was the fastest gallop? Will the sectional timing factor be in play Met day

the marquee is only for todays racing for investec it will be taken down after the meeting and wont be there on met day

The sticky buns were very sticky. no times were announced and a lot of the gallops were not commentated on as they were busy doing interviews.
